 |
| Meet Matt Seeley. Also,
meet three gurus. |
 |
| Detroit: Quality Bending and Threading is
today's blacksmith shop. The business was started by Russ Seeley in 1960. His
son, Matt, grew up in the business and always dreamed of taking over.
|
 |
| What a blessing for the father, but what about the
others in the family? To be fair to everyone, these people got help to transfer
the ownership in an equitable way. Dad was represented by the family's longtime
CPA (and uncle) while Matt got help from an outside professional. We revisited
this story in an episode titled Exit Strategies and Equity Models.
Matt's insights are what we consider evergreen... true yesterday, true today,
and true tomorrow. |
