The
World: We all face an uncertain future, especially with what now seems
to be limits to growth. In 1972 Drs. Dennis & Donella Meadows wrote
the book; and for over 30 years, The Limits to Growth was resoundly
criticized. In light of gas prices at the pump, that's not true anymore.

| Yet, the basic tenet of the book
may still be flawed. |
|
| There is no limit to our
resourcefulness and to our ability to deepen our insights into the foundations
of reality. Mysteries abound about energy and the basic forces of life; and, it
seems that we are on the edge of basic breakthroughs with the use of
nano-technologies and meta-or-grid computing. We may yet see many new billion
dollar business that dwarf the explosive growth of shops like Microsoft, eBay,
and Google. |
