Background: A look at the courses and textbooks used at the Business School that incorporate case study guides and videos from the past episodes of Small Business School.
Business Faculty. Here will be instructions for faculty registrations on the Small Business School site. It provides free access for them. By logging on, they obtain access to all the video case studies and support materials.
Creative uses of the Small Business School website. Along with classroom discussion about actual cases within the textbooks by Thomson Learning, Cengage and Prentice-Hall, there are many examples of how classes have worked within their communities as a result of these case studies. Soon, even the film schools and schools of journalism and education will also be involved.
Site Navigation Tips
Three simple tips to guide your search for a video: (1) Log in. If you forget your password, have the computer send it to you.
(2) Search by episode title but do not use any apostrophes or Boolean expressions in your search. Use the fewest number of words. The business name is usually the episode title. In composite episodes, like Marketing from a Distance which involved many businesses, you'll either have to have that title or go to the third tip.
(3) Do a Text Search. Again do not use apostrophes, hyphens or other than alpha-numeric characters.
If you still have problems, drop us a note and tell us which episode you can not find.
On Students, Courses & Faculty
On Student Accesss: If you would like your students to have access to the videos from their own computers, we would like to recommend that each class purchase a membership and a window like this one will be opened just for that class.
If your students would like to become a long-term member of Small Business School and create content on this site to support their own business developments, special scholarships can be arranged.
Courses. Many faculty members have created special courses around these video case studies. Please feel free to do it. The up time of this webiste since its initial launch in 1994 is about 99.992%.
Faculty. Cengage provides support for many of their published works. However, Bill Gartner, author of Enterprise, got special support for specific video clips that have been integrated within his textbook.
Over the years, we have worked with dozens of professors to accommodate such an integration. Please contact Hattie Bryant directly by email.
